Opening Mixer & Test Drive Meme
To get us started here are a few prompts for players and potential players alike.
Feel free to use or not use them as required
The Prompts
1. After Hours - It's past curfew and you're out and about, in the corridors or the grounds, better hope you don't get caught.
2. Hogsmeade - Shopping, drinking, socialising, dating, go crazy
3. Lesson - Working on a tricky charm, passing notes at the back of the class, fretting about a test
4. Hogwarts express - It's the start of the year and time for the train and meeting friends old and new
Lexi Verne / Hufflepuff / 5th year
Lexi shouldn't actually be out this late. It's his own fault, it really is, but when you know your favourite make-up brand is dropping a new collection in the middle of the night, and if you want to get it you've got to find the only corner of the grounds that gets any sort of 4G signal. Which just happens to be out beyond the Quidditch pitch, and it's now past midnight.
It's sort of scary, there's a mist rising, the clouds cover the stars and the moon, all the strange noises from the forest and the creaking of the huge grandstand and the Quidditch hoops. As pleased as he was to land sparkly lipglosses and highlighter, he's beginning to feel a little uneasy, and cold. Maybe unicorn themed make-up isn't worth freezing to death, or being locked out of school until morning, or being eaten by a troll.
Maybe he should have thought this through.
Re: Lexi Verne / Hufflepuff / 5th year
Movement out the corner of his eye has him sitting up with a hissed "shit" that was perhaps a little louder than he intended it to be, and he's secreting the bottle in one of his pockets and stubbing out his cigarette on the bench beside him in one move.
Then he realises it's another student and can't help but laugh, offering them a slight wave.

There's still the smell of cigarettes, bitter in the chill air, and the pale light glints off the bottle in the other boy's hand.
A boy that anyone who follows House Quidditch will instantly recognise as the Gryffindor captain, Keirus O... O'something Irish. Lexi doesn't know, not really, but he's very good with faces. Handsome ones especially.
"I didn't think anyone else was going to be out so late." He says, settling down on the bench, offering a pretty, bright smile even though he's wrapping his arms tight around himself to keep out the cold. "Is it different for 7th years?"

Keirus chuckles, shaking his head - he's rebellious, but he doesn't intend to be a bad influence most of the time, so he's quick to confirm "No, curfew's just the same for me, I just find I can treat it more like a guideline than a rule... as long as I don't get caught," he adds with a wink.
Noticing that the younger boy seemed cold, he was quick to shrug off his robe, holding it out towards Lexi - he's wearing a quidditch jumper underneath so he was clearly expecting the cool night air. Besides, the fire whiskey's keeping him warm.

"I suppose if you did get caught, you could just say you were... thinking about Quidditch?" Lexi suggests. He's captain of the Gryffindor team, the staff probably won't be so mean about him coming out here at night. He might have to hide the bottle though.
"What were you thinking about?"

"Quidditch," Keirus replies with a cheeky smile, it's mostly for the joke of it but it's not entirely a lie, he was close to the pitch after all, his mind had wandered to tactics once or twice.
"But nah, just came out for a drink and a think about what I want to do after Hogwarts," he shrugs, taking another swig of said drink before holding the bottle out towards Lexi. So much for not being a bad influence, but it would be rude not to offer.

He's had wine at home, and beer, neither of which he liked, and alcoholic butterbeer, which he did, but whisky is something totally different again, burning down his throat and making his hand tremble a little when he hands it back.
"Aren't you going to play Quidditch?" It seems like a natural thing to Lexi- to make Captain, you must be good, so why wouldn't you get a job doing it? Things like being picked up for a team don't really enter his head.

Keirus notes his reaction to the whiskey and decides to be cautious about handing out future sips, he doesn't want a drunk underclassman on his hands, especially when he isn't entirely sure where the boy's dorm is.
"Maybe," he concedes with a shrug "I mean, if I can get onto a team I can't deny I'd like it, but my dream is to work with magical creatures."
